Twentieth Century Fox toppers Dana Walden and Gary Newman are to jointly deliver a keynote address at the 2011 Banff World Media Festival, organizers said Wednesday.
The duo, who have led the Hollywood studio since 1999 and delivered primetime hits like Glee, 24 and Bones to Global Television via an output deal, are to recount war stories in Banff and help delegates chart their way forward in the global TV business.
The appearance of Walden and Newman also continues a tradition of bringing top Hollywood TV execs and showrunners up to Banff for the annual conference.
“Under their leadership, TCFTV (Twentieth Century Fox) has been setting the industry standard for content creation, and these two gifted executives are known for creating some of the boldest and most innovative programming in the history of the medium,” Ferne Cohen, executive director of the Banff festival, said in a statement.
