CMPA brings on Thomson, Jeffs

The CMPA has brought on two new senior staffers.

Jay Thomson has been named vice-president, broadcasting policy and regulatory affairs. Thomson is a former senior exec at the CAB, TELUS Communications and the Canadian Association of Internet Providers. He brings a wealth experience in regulatory law and policy, as well as specialization in Internet, broadcasting and copyright issues. He will be based in Ottawa.

Katie Jeffs is the CMPA’s new director of member development and outreach. Jeffs was recently the director of development and sales for PTV Productions in Toronto. Prior to that, she held positions at Achilles Media and the BBC. Jeffs will be based in Toronto.
