Aboriginal doc wins $20,000 Manitoba pitch

Jaime Black and Tina Keeper from newly formed Kistikan Pictures have snagged the $20,000 license fee pitch prize with MTS Winnipeg On Demand for REDress Redress, On Screen Manitoba has announced.

The documentary extends Black’s art installation on the 500-plus missing and murdered Aboriginal women in Canada. Black and Keeper were among eight finalists who each had three minutes to present their project to a jury of industry professionals and delegates, after which the jury offered feedback, along with a quick Q&A session.

The pitch session is part of All Access, a two-day TV and interactive digital media forum that ran from November 9-10. in Winnipeg, which is now in its third iteration.
