Hard Core Logo 2 has world premiere in Whistler

Bruce McDonald is to debut Hard Core Logo 2 at the Whistler Film Festival with a world premiere on December 4.

The follow-up to McDonald’s 1996 punk rockumentary Hard Core Logo (pictured) was shot earlier this year in Saskatchewan.

Rob Merilees of Vancouver-based Foundation Features and Holly Baird of Regina-based Trilight Entertainment produced the movie sequel, whose script McDonald penned along with David Griffith.

McDonald will also screen two music films at Whistler, Music From The Big House, a documentary that portrays Rita Chiarelli performing for inmates serving life sentences at a maxiumum-security prison, and Trigger, the Molly Parker-starring drama that debuted at the recent Toronto International Film Festival.

The Whistler Film Festival is set to run from December 1 to 5.
