The Toronto International Film Festival has appointed Barry Campbell and Jennifer Tory to its board of directors. These appointments come after the retirement of former members Irene Chu and Rajesh Subramaniam.
Campbell is president of Campbell Strategies, an organization that provides council on political and regulatory issues. He is also a former member of parliament (1993 to 1997), serving as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance.
Campbell previously sat on the TIFF board from 1998 to 2006.
Jennifer Tory recently wrapped a two-year term as chair of the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation, and has now taken on the challenge of Sunnybrook’s $470 million Capital Campaign. Tory is regional president of the Greater Toronto region for the RBC Royal Bank, and also serves as the director of the Board of Trade and as a fundraiser for several charitable organizations.

The TIFF board is comprised of chair emeritus and founder William Marshall, chair Paul Atkinson, and directors Barry Avrich, Ian Bandeen, Helen Burstyn, Brendan Calder, Barry Campbell, Linda Chu, Jan Innes, Ellis Jacob, Allen Karp, David J. Kassie, Bill Kurtin, Ralph Lean, Q.C., James Little, Deepa Mehta, Leslie Noble, Wade Oosterman, Warren Spitz, Constance L. Sugiyama, Dan Tanenbaum, Jennifer Tory, Constance Wansbrough, Mark Wellings and Lisa de Wilde. Slawko Klymkiw serves as ex-officio.
