The Whistler Film Festival is to kick off its 10th edition with Michael Goldbach’s Daydream Nation, which stars Kat Dennings and Andie MacDowell.
The Canadian movie, which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, was shot in Vancouver and will unspool in Whistler on December 1.
Daydream Nation portrays a city girl who moves to a small town and enters a love triangle with her high school English teacher and a former classmate.
Writer/director Goldbach will attend the British Columbia premiere of the film that also stars Reece Thompson, Josh Lucas and Rachel Blanchard.
Whistler, which also includes an industry symposium and celebrity guests, will unveil the rest of its upcoming December 1 to 5 film lineup on November 1.
