Denis Villeneuve continues to pile up trophies from the international festival circuit for Incendies.

Incendies also snagged the Grand Prix of the 26th Warsaw International Film Festival.

Both jury prizes follow Villeneuve’s film about sectarian hatred and family bonds in the Middle East earlier winning the best Canadian film prize at the Toronto International Film Festival, and being named the Canadian contender in the Academy Award’s best foreign language film competition.

Villeneuve’s French and Arabic language film screened over the weekend at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival.
