Portfolio sells Everyday Exotic to Cooking Channel

Portfolio International has sold the Canadian cooking series Everyday Exotic from Magee TV to the Cooking Channel stateside.

The Scripps Networks’ channel is to air new episodes of the factual series hosted by chef/musician Roger Mooking, which is into its second season on Food Network Canada with 26 half-hours in the can.

“The unique energy and exciting culinary style of Everyday Exotic make it a perfect show for Cooking Channel, which is dedicated to today’s more passionate food lover,” Jennifer Quainton, director of program planning and acquisitions at Cooking Channel and Food Network USA, said in a statement.

The sale to the U.S. channel was announced by Louis Fournier, the newly-installed vice president of sales and acquisitions at Portfolio Entertainment.
