People moves at Interactive Ontario

Provincial industry org Interactive Ontario has brought on two new execs to bolster its team as it also says goodbye to one of its own.

Joining the IO family is Patricia McCutcheon, who is the org’s new director of programs. Her new responsibilities include overseeing programming for the upcoming iLunch 9.0 series, GameON: Finance and INplay 2011 conferences. McCutcheon comes from corporate event management company Spark Inc, and also boasts experience at ACTRA National, the OMDC and Allstream.

Also new on board is Armen Karapetyan, stepping into the role of director of operations. He’ll be handling IO’s financials, forecasting and human resources management. His past experience includes operations director of the Barthelmes Conservatory of Music in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and also looked after finance and grants for relief and development orgs, including Feed the Children, Open Society Institute and Jinishian Memorial Foundation.

Meanwhile, one of IO’s newer members Max Berdowski (who joined in May will be expanding his role and will now serve as VP, business development and communications. Berdowski will now be responsible for IO membership, communications and marketing. Communications director Danielle Engels will also be taking on marketing efforts.

Sarah Baird, VP programs and operations, is stepping down from her post, which she held for the past five years.
