Ferne Cohen has replaced Peter Vamos as executive director of the Banff World Television Festival.

Cohen, a former director of business affairs for Alliance Atlantis Television, has been promoted from within parent Achilles Media from director of business development, entertainment to oversee a newly-merged Banff World Television Festival and nextMedia cross-platform conference.

Vamos, a former publisher of Playback, left Banff in July.

Achilles Media also promoted Mark Greenspan to chief operating officer after he served as vice president of digital media and nextMedia executive director.

And Jory Groberman has been promoted from director of business development to executive director of digital media and innovation.
