Teletoon sources music from Audio Network

Music producer and supplier Audio Network has added Teletoon to its stable of channels.

Teletoon will tap the music track library to help score its programming and promotions, Audio Network senior vice president Jason Langley told Playback Daily.

The music supply deal follows Audio Network already providing music content via blanket licenses for Corus channels W Network, Cosmopolitan TV and Viva.

Langley explained commercial music for broadcasters can be expensive and difficult to clear for international distribution. Library music from Audio Network and other catalogs, on the other hand, is generic and non-exclusive, and easy to clear.
