Toronto-based producer/distributor Canamedia has named Mike Lolato to the post of managing director, Worldwide Broadcast Sales.

Prior to joining Canamedia, Lolato held posts at TMN and CHUM Television, where served as director of international program sales.

In July, Canamedia was acquired by Distribution Access, a company traditionally known more for its educational video content. However, Distribution Access looks to be taking on a mainstream production and distribution role.

“We are excited to welcome Mike on board as part of our growing team,” noted Doug Connolly, president of Distribution Access. “Canamedia is moving forward in key areas such as acquisition, production and new media, with an eye for expansion in all of these areas and Mike’s 20 years of experience in various markets will help expedite this growth.”
