Moses Znaimer’s newly minted Vision TV has scored a major acquisition from ITV Studios for the Brit soap Emmerdale.
The long-running drama set in the Yorkshire Dales will air Monday to Friday at 9:30 p.m. from September 20 on Vision TV, now part of Znaimer¹s ZoomerMedia group.
Emmerdale, which previously aired on the CBC network, will feature as part of Vision TV’s upcoming fall prime-time schedule, where Brit comedies and drama dominate weeknights from 8 pm to 10 pm.
Vision TV will run around six months behind the UK with its Emmerdale story-line.
“Vision TV viewers are passionate about British programming, and Emmerdale‘s compelling characters and intriguing storylines will find a loyal Canadian following on our channel,” Mark Prasuhn, Chief Operating Officer for Toronto-based ZoomerMedia Limited, said.
