Thunderbird Films is gearing up for the Vancouver-based production of Mr. Young, a new multiple camera sitcom with a live studio audience. Produced in association with YTV and created by Dan Signer, production of Mr. Young will begin in October and the show will premiere in Canada on Corus Entertainment’s YTV channel in spring 2011.
The series marks the first multi-camera sitcom to be produced in Vancouver. Mr. Young chronicles the life of Adam Young, a child prodigy who went to university at the age of nine. Now, at fourteen, he’s a college graduate and ready to enter the workforce as a high school science teacher.
Nelvana Enterprises has been named international distribution agent for the new series, and Nelvana and Thunderbird will be co-distributing in the U.S.
