MTV Video Music Awards go digital

Thanks to a new partnership with Toronto-based digital service Yangaroo, MTV is putting the digital treatment on power of the vote for its upcoming 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

Voting members across the U.S. will see distribution of the nominated music videos submitted for consideration via Yangaroo’s DMDS (Digital Media Distribution System). Then through DMDS, they’ll also receive secure distribution of the nominated vids for streaming online for review and for electronic voting.

Music videos are already being delivered daily to MTV Networks channels via DMDS.

The awards will be taking place in L.A. on September 12 and will be broadcast worldwide on MTV.
