The two-year agreement covers Canuck and worldwide rights for all features produced and distributed through Hamilton’s company, as well as sales and international representation rights via E1 Films International.

The collaboration ‘will provide continued flow of films for E1’s film distribution infrastructure,’ E1 filmed entertainment president Patrice Théroux noted in a statement.

Hamilton has over the past decade acquired films for Seville and its parent E1 including Aleksandr Sokurov’s Russian Ark, Wong Kar Wai’s In the Mood for Love and Poor Boy’s Game, starring Danny Glover. He also served as executive producer on Seville titles such as Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey and A Shine of Rainbows.

Hidden Agenda will unveil its slate at the Cannes film festival next month.
