The Comedy Network has hired Jake Labow as manager of original programming, installing the Toronto impresario at its 299 Queen Street West offices.

Labow is new to the channel and to the broader CTVgm family, coming aboard after years behind the scenes of the local comedy circuit. He was for many years manager of the now-defunct Laugh Resort comedy club, and more recently through his own company produced appearances by notable stand-ups including Louis CK, Mort Sahl and Paula Poundstone.

He will report to Comedy Network’s director of content Michelle Daly.
