Pavlovic heads to L.A.

Screenwriter Sacha Pavlovic has signed with WME and the Mosaic Media Group after completing the inaugural Telefilm Canada Features Comedy Lab at the Canadian Film Centre.

Pavlovic is next headed to Los Angeles in late March to pitch his edgy comedy Ramington’s: Men of Steel, a feature about a narcissistic male stripper who must learn to love himself from the inside after a fall from grace.

While one of five filmmaking teams at the Comedy Lab, the Canuck scribe was mentored by Mosaic’s Jimmy Miller, who manages actors Jim Carrey, Will Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen, comedy writer/directors Judd Apatow and Adam McKay, and Universal Pictures production president Debbie Liebling.

The CFC comedy incubator also has backing from Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival.
