Hanson set for Fox pilot

Hart Hanson

TV scribe Hart Hanson has another Fox gig stateside.

Hanson, a Canadian Film Centre mentor who cut his teeth on dramas like North of 60 and Traders before heading to Hollywood, already executive produces Fox’s Bones, which he created.

Now Hanson has been asked to executive produce the Fox pilot Pleading Guilty from Chernin Entertainment. The legal drama is based on a Scott Turow novel about an cop-turned-lawyer who works in a major Chicago law firm.

Jon Avnet will direct the Pleading Guilty pilot. No word on casting.

Should Fox go on to make a full series order for Pleading Guilty, Hanson would be running two U.S. network series.

His earlier U.S. TV credits include Judging Amy, Cupid and Joan of Arcadia.
