Tricon Films & Distribution has sold a number of its factual series across Europe and elsewhere.
In France, Odyssee has picked up the fashion show Cover Stories (13 x 30), while YES, along with DBS in Israel, have picked up eco-documentary Garbage.
The Toronto-based producer/distributor scored a hat trick with South Africa’s The Home Channel, which signed up for the 13 x 30 House of Bryan, seasons two and three of the urban makeover show Green Force, and season three of the home reno Marriage Under Construction. Red Media Group in Russia has snapped up Restaurant Makeover, Living the Life and Beautiful People, about the dating site beautifulpeople.com. In Romania, seasons one and two of the cooking series Fresh with Anna Olson secured a deal with Antena 4.
The company says it is looking for shows with international appeal. ‘Moving forward, our strategy for 2010 is to find production partners who produce quality content that travels in order to further strengthen our catalogue and international appeal,’ said sales and development SVP Carrie Mudd in a statement.
