Timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Federico Fellini’s keystone film La Dolce Vita, E1 Entertainment has picked up the North American rights to a slate of Italian classic movies via a catalogue deal with Alfredo Leone’s International Media Films.

E1 Entertainment plans a re-release of Fellini’s 1960 film later this year, along with a special edition DVD and a Blu-ray release of La Dolce Vita after purchasing all rights, including DVD, TV and digital.

E1 also picked up Vittorio De Sica’s Shoeshine, and three early Luchino Visconti titles for North American release: Bellissima, La Terra Trema and Ossessione.
