Edgemont set for U.S.

Former CBC teen series Edgemont is set to make its U.S. debut following a series of syndication deals through Program Partners. The U.S. firm has passed the series to the Tribune, Newport, Acme, Lockwood, Granite and CW+ station groups, covering over 85% of U.S. households according to a recent statement.

The makes its syndie debut on Jan. 18. The half-hour series by Omni Films aired on CBC for five seasons starting in 2000, following the lives of secondary school students in a fictitious town. Its cast includes Kristin Kreuk, who currently stars as Lana Lang on Smallville, Jessica Lucas of CW’s Melrose Place and Grace Park of Battlestar Galactica and, lately, The Border.

Program Partners also had a hand in U.S. deals for The Listener, Intelligence and Degrassi: TNG.
