Billed as a story that ‘captures the zeitgeist’ of e-relationships, the romantic comedy Textuality has gone to camera in Toronto under director Warren Sonoda (Cooper’s Camera).
Jason Lewis (Brothers & Sisters) and Carly Pope (Californication, Young People Fucking) lead the feature as would-be lovers who must first jettison the relationships they are already managing through their Blackberries. Toronto native Eric McCormack (Will and Grace) also stars.
The picture marks the feature debut of writer Liam Card and producer Marc Rigaux (String Theory), both of start-up Strident Films. Michael Baker, also of Young People Fucking fame, is executive producer.
‘We believe this film explains dating as it currently exists, right here and right now in the technological world,’ said Rigaux in a statement.
Jeremy Benning is cinematographer, Aden Bahardori, who also cut Sonoda’s Cooper’s Camera, will edit.
The picture is due to wrap Dec. 10. Seville Pictures will distribute in Canada.
