E1 Entertainment and U.S. indie studio Reveille are joining forces on Summer Camp, a half-hour pilot for Nickelodeon.
Production gets underway later this month on the pilot, coproduced by E1 and L.A.-based Reveille (Ugly Betty, The Biggest Loser). Written by Peter Barsocchini of Disney’s popular High School Musical franchise, the project follows a group of boys and girls at a summer camp. It will be directed by Lev L. Spiro (Ugly Betty, Weeds), while E1’s John Morayniss and Frank Saperstein will co-exec produce.
‘It’s very exciting when such a high energy, creative team comes together on a perfect concept like Summer Camp. The opportunity to partner with this highly successful group is the next step of evolution for E1 Kids,’ commented Saperstein, who heads up kids and animation for E1, in a release.
E1 will handle international distribution for Summer Camp.
