Tribal Nova and Montreal-based video game developer ODD1 have signed a commercial and strategic partnership that will see Tribal Nova transfer its game production division in exchange for an equity stake in ODD1.

Montreal/Toronto-based Tribal Nova produces and markets online gaming services and virtual worlds for kids and has established partnerships with outlets such as PBS in the U.S., Éditions Bayard in France and CBC in Canada.

Earlier this year, the two companies collaborated on Grossology, an online game based on a Nelvana TV series which airs on Teletoon domestically and TF1 in France.

Projects currently underway at Tribal Nova, and the employees working on them, will be included in the transfer.
