Alliance Films has signed a library deal with Handmade Films International, handing the Canadian distributor the home and mobile rights for classic British fare including The Long Good Friday, Time Bandits and Monty Python’s Life of Brian.

The seven-year deal gives Alliance the exclusive rights in Canada to handle titles from the Handmade catalog on DVD, Blu-ray and through iTunes. HFI, which is the distribution arm of late Beatle George Harrison’s Handmade Films, has some 150 titles on its shelves, including other notables such as Withnail and I, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Kari Skogland’s Fifty Dead Men Walking.
