Brightlight Pictures has hired Elizabeth Levine as its executive director of development. Until recently the longtime indie producer held a similar post at No Equal Entertainment, and worked as the new media producer on jPod. Levine started out as a print reporter before shifting to Citytv Toronto. Her company Beetle Box Media has produced new titles for Bravo!, Global, CHUM and Showcase, including the 2004 Gemini winner Camp Hollywood.

‘We are delighted to have Liz join the Brightlight team,’ said Brightlight principal Shawn Williamson in a statement. ‘She has a unique eye and key relationships that will contribute to the company’s growth and our expanding slate.’
