VisionTV goes Unscripted

VisionTV is bowing a new talk show series this fall, featuring in-depth, half-hour interviews with boomer-friendly celebrities.

Unscripted, which begins airing Sept. 14 at 10 p.m., will feature interviews with such living-room favorites as Bob Newhart (The Bob Newhart Show), Florence Henderson (The Brady Bunch) and Martin Landau (Ed Wood), who will discuss their lives and careers.

The show’s lineup of guests is meant to reflect the familiarity and interests of Vision’s target demo, Canadians 45-plus with a female skew, according to Vision spokesperson David Todd.

Produced by Todd Cantelon of the Trillennium Media Group, 104 episodes of Unscripted have already been commissioned by Vision, and new episodes will air Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 p.m. ET. Exec producer is Vision’s Joan Jenkinson.

Guests scheduled for the first week include Malcolm Jamal Warner (The Cosby Show) on Sept. 14, Peter Graves (Mission: Impossible, 7th Heaven) on Sept. 15, and the Eagles’ Don Felder on Sept. 18.
