CTV’s Tamara Taggart will fill in for Kelly Ripa next month, one of 10 broadcasters who were named on Wednesday as guest co-hosts of ABC’s Live! with Regis and Kelly.

The B.C. weatherwoman, attached to the network’s Vancouver station CIVT, will fill in for Kelly Ripa one day during the week of Aug. 17-21, opposite longtime co-host Regis Philbin. The morning show, which airs here on CTV, has recently been scouting for people to fill in for Ripa, and earlier this week narrowed the list to 20, which also included Toronto weatherman Tom Brown. The selections were based on audience votes.

‘I am absolutely over the moon!’ said Taggart in a statement. ‘I’m excited, nervous and most importantly honoured to have this incredible opportunity to fill in for Kelly Ripa.’
