CTV is doing high-kicks over its recent So You Think You Can Dance numbers, which came in just shy of two million (2+) when the U.S. series aired its 100th episode on Monday.
The fifth season episode, which included a singing and dancing homage to Judy Garland, performed by Katie Holmes, came in at 1.94 million, making gains in the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics, according to the network, and winning the night. It peaked at 2.26 million.
The episode stands as the highest-rated broadcast on Canadian television this summer, barring sportscasts and based on preliminary overnight numbers from BBM Nielsen Media Research.
Elsewhere, the first part of the CBC mini The Summit played to soft numbers on Sunday. The political thriller from Shaftesbury Films and Media Headquarters played to 415,000 on Sunday, and will wrap in the same slot this coming weekend. It stars Bruce Greenwood and Christopher Plummer as a quarreling Canadian prime minister and U.S. president, respectively.
