French director Claude Miller (A Secret) will reportedly divide work on his new film between Paris and Canada. According to Variety, Miller’s Watch While They Dance will be shot this year or early in 2010 in France and Canada.
The story follows a woman who moves from France to a small Canuck town where her ex-husband has died. She falls ill and forms an uneasy friendship with his widow. The script is loosely based on the Roy Parvin short story Menno’s Granddaughter.
Isabelle Carré (A French Gigolo), Marina Hands () and James Thiérrée () star.
Producer Patrick Godeau of Paris-based Alicéléo is said to be in talks with Canadian producers and a French distribution company.
