Five named to Go West

Four producers from B.C. and one from Manitoba will take part in next week’s CFC Go West Project Lab in Whistler, BC organizers announced Thursday.

The five-day workshop, which looks to boost dramatic features by filmmakers from western Canada, will this year include: Lori Lozinski of Violator Films, who brings the comedy Jenny Two Bears; Clique Pictures’ Lauren Grant with the coming-of-age comedy Get Happy; Ki Wight of Serious Film Entertainment and her feature comedy Anything for You and Dean English from Perfect Circle Productions and the animated feature Ming Rose Slammer.

Joining the four Vancouverites will be Kyle Irving of Winnipeg-based Eagle Vision, who brings the thriller/comedy Strange Love, written by Robert Cuffley and Jason Long.

The CFC Go West Project Lab, now in its third year, runs June 21-25.
