Deals precede DISCOP

Decode Enterprises has signed deals for over 200 hours of programming with broadcasters in central and eastern Europe, ahead of that region’s DISCOP trade show.

Hop! in Romania has picked up the Decode Entertainment-produced Franny’s Feet and The Save-Ums! and two shows from its sibling Halifax Film: both seasons of Animal Mechanicals and 40 eps of Bo on the Go!.

Media Service Zawada in Poland has picked up the home video rights for the 1999 miniseries Watership Down, while Canal+ has taken Girl Stuff, Boy Stuff. Telewizja Polska has bought all 52 episodes of Radio Free Roscoe, which will also air in Russia on MUZ-TV. Also in Russia, 2 x 2 has picked up both Bromwell High and Undergrads.

‘We’re steadily building a significant presence in this market and these deals give us a good position going into DISCOP. The strength of our library is highlighted by the fact that many broadcasters are acquiring all available episodes of many of our shows,’ said Lara Ilie, territory manager at Decode Enterprises, in a statement.
