Alliance Films has picked up A Matter of Time, an action-thriller due to shoot this fall in Toronto with BCD Films. The film, now in its financing stage, is produced by Derek Rappaport of Amber Light Films. Daniel J. Heffner of the Saw franchise exec produces with Phillip Roe and screenwriter Peter Sheldrick (Dead Mary).

Casting is underway with Canadian casting director Stephanie Gorin and Robert Ulrich in L.A. The privately financed picture is looking to shoot on a $5 million budget, delivering sometime in 2010.
