Telefilm Canada has named Agnes Zak its new regional director of business development for Ontario and Nunavut, effective immediately.

Zak had been acting as interim regional director following the launch of the organization’s new operations structure in October. She was also regional director for new media for the two regions. Zak will report to Sheila de la Varende, Telefilm’s director of national and international business development.

‘Over the past seven months, the regional team and I have created a solid foundation upon which we will continue to build strong relationships, regional and national and successes both within the audiovisual industry and at Telefilm as an organization,’ commented Zak in a release.

Zak has been with Telefilm since 2002 and worked in various roles in new media, mostly as an analyst and senior analyst.
