Breakthrough Films aand Television and its distribution wing have joined with History Television and Discovery Communications on the new doc series Greatest Tank Battles.

The 10 x 60 show will be shot on location in Belgium, Germany, Russia and France and will feature a mixture of interviews, archival footage and CG animation.

Greatest Tank Battles, which is executive produced by Peter Williamson and Ira Levy, coproduced by Paul Killback and Williamson, and directed by Killback, follows other history docs from Breakthrough such as Battlefield Mysteries and For King and Empire.

It will launch in Canada on History, on Discovery’s Military Channel in the U.S. and on Discovery Networks throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
