Tsarouchas to co-lead comedy

Comedian Angelo Tsarouchas has been cast in the U.S. indie picture Fred and Vinnie, starring alongside Fred Stoller. The picture — directed and produced by former Everybody Loves Raymond scribe Steve Skrovan — is about an agoraphobic who pays a visit to Los Angeles after his is evicted from his home in Philadelphia. Filming begins next month in L.A.

The Montreal-born comic, now based in L.A., apparently got the call after working a New Jersey club with Russell Peters. ‘I had to check my messages again in the morning because I thought that I was dreaming,’ said Tsarouchas in a release.

Tsarouchas has had numerous small roles in Billable Hours, Cinderella Man and Mad Men, among others. Stoller had a recurring role on Everybody Loves Raymond.
