License to Grill will be lining the shelves at Wal-Mart this spring, following a deal with Knight Enterprises. The Ottawa production house has signed a deal with the mega-retailer that puts DVDs of its cooking show in 3,400 stores across the U.S.
The DVD is a compilation of episodes from the cooking show’s 104-ep run. The show has also been spun off into two cookbooks, a companion CD and apparel.
‘Wal-Mart is a coveted retail outlet,’ said president Chris Knight. ‘This agreement represents an important part of our strategy to see the value of the lifestyle brands we create and develop maximized across multiple consumer products offerings.’
License to Grill airs here on Food Network. Knight produces other cooking shows including Cook Like a Chef and This Food, That Wine.
