Disney buys Jungle

Decode Enterprises has sold its new puppet series Mighty Jungle to the Disney Channels in southeast Asia and Latin America. The distributor said Wednesday that Disney’s Asian channel has picked up both seasons (46 x 11) of the preschool series, while ‘the first episodes’ have gone to its Latin American outlet.

The show, produced by Decode sibling Halifax Film for the CBC, features puppet animals living deep in a leafy jungle.

‘As a puppet-based series, Mighty Jungle adds something new to our catalogue,’ said Decode VP Josh Scherba in a release. Mighty Jungle joins other kiddie series in the catalogue such as Animal Mechanicals and Franny’s Feet Jungle.
