Cameras roll on Rules

Blueprint Entertainment has begun production on the live-action/animated tween comedy Majority Rules, for Teletoon

The worldwide rights to the 26 x 30 series, previously titled Go Girl, are handled by Oasis International which, like Blueprint, was recently purchased by Entertainment One. The series revolves around the life of 15-year-old Becky Richards, who’s been elected mayor of her hometown, and stars Tracy Spiridakos (The Secret Lives of Second Wives).

‘This series will continue to reinforce our strong relationship with Teletoon as they break ground and respond to their audience’s request for unique programming,’ said E1’s Frank Saperstein (Bob and Margaret), who exec produces with John Morayniss (Hung). Also attached are: creative producer Greg Lawrence (Kevin Spencer) and executive story editors Steve Wright and Myra Fried (Iggy Arbuckle, Braceface).

Spin Entertainment is providing the animated and graphic components. A web component is also in the works.
