Telus digital content acquisitions chief Maria Hale is to leave the phone giant after it last week cut around 100 jobs in response to falling demand for landline phone use.

Hale, who last year joined Telus as VP of content, led a team that acquired and managed content across the Telus TV, broadband and mobile service platforms. Hale came to Telus from CHUM Television where she was VP of content business development.
