CTV is to follow the lead of CBS next month, returning Flashpoint to Friday nights.

The Canadian cop drama, this past summer’s number one new scripted series, will return to Fridays at 9 p.m. on Jan. 9 as part of CBS’ mid-season shuffling. Last summer, the cop drama launched well on Friday nights before CBS shifted it to Thursdays at 10 p.m.

To make way for Flashpoint, CTV will shift its Supernanny simulcast from its main network to A.

Other mid-season scheduling for CTV includes shifting the Fox drama Fringe from A to its main network, on Tuesdays at 9 p.m., where it will use a new season of American Idol as a springboard to the J.J. Abrams drama.

For its mid-season, CBS will continue Eleventh Hour on Thursdays at 10 p.m., after the prestigious lead-in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and fill the same slot with the B.C.-filmed mystery series Harper’s Island starting on April 9.

CBS will use Flashpoint as a mid-season replacement for The Ex List; building a crucial bridge between Ghost Whisperer at 8 p.m. and Numb3rs at 10 p.m.

CTV has scheduled the final season of Corner Gas for Mondays at 9:30 p.m., from Jan. 12, to complement a comedy night that includes the simulcasts of Big Bang Theory at 8 p.m. and Two and a Half Men at 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.

CTV will also air the return of the TNT legal drama Raising the Bar from Steven Bochco on Mondays at 10 p.m., while The Amazing Race returns on Feb. 15.

The Canadian network also plans a raft of simulcasts for its A channels mid-season. These include ABC’s Lost, to air Wednesdays at 9 p.m., and this fall’s biggest rookie hit, The Mentalist.

Elsewhere on A, Gossip Girl moves to Mondays at 8 p.m., while MTV’s Paris Hilton series My New BFF is to air Mondays at 9 p.m. Medium shifts to A on Mondays at 10 p.m., starting on Feb. 2. Other new A simulcasts include The New Adventures of Old Christine on Wednesdays at 8 p.m., Law & Order on the same night at 10 p.m., and Million Dollar Password on Sundays at 8 p.m.

CTV will also bring back new mid-season episodes of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Private Practice, Wife Swap, Cold Case and America’s Next Top Model.

The Canadian network had no word on when the new Canadian crime/medical drama The Listener will bow on CTV. Fox International will launch the Shaftesbury Films’ drama on its 92-channel global network in the first week of March. North American dates have yet to be nailed down.

NBC, which acquired The Listener late last year during the Hollywood writers strike, initially talked about a summer 2009 bow but has set no launch date.
