• MTV Networks’ Logo has acquired the first three seasons of Chris & John to the Rescue! and will introduce the gay comedy series – from John Simpson Productions, seen here on OUTtv – to the U.S. in January.

• Maximum Films International and Seville Pictures inked a series of deals at the American Film Market, including presales for David Michod’s Australian crime saga Animal Kingdom and Ruba Nadda’s Cairo Time. Middle East rights for Animal Kingdom went to Prime Pictures, and to Shooting Stars for Cairo Time, which was shot in Egypt. Another deal saw Cairo’s Australian and New Zealand rights go to Aussie distributor Transmission Films.

Also, Benoît Pilon’s The Necessities of Life was picked up by Isaan Films in Spain, by Cineart for the Benelux countries, and by Kino Swiat in Poland.
