Toronto news channel CP24 has come out with new technology, a new look, and new programming to mark its 10th anniversary.
The CTVglobemedia-owned channel this week unveiled a state-of-the-art newsroom with eight robotic, in-studio cameras and video display walls to brand the channel’s various programs. Online, cp24.com has also been updated. The website currently attracts 500,000 unique visitors per month, viewing almost five million pages, according to its September/October numbers.
New programming, rolling out into 2009, will see more reporters and live resources enlisted and will take into account different viewer schedules, offering news at traditional times, as well as at 5 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
