Elizabeth Radshaw has joined Hot Docs, taking over for Michaelle McLean as head of the festival’s marketplace. Radshaw was named director of the Toronto Documentary Forum on Friday, coming over from U.K.-based factual distributor TVF International Television Distribution.
Radshaw ‘brings fresh ideas and boundless energy, backed with solid international industry experience,’ said exec director Chris McDonald in a statement.
Radshaw was head of acquisitions at TVF, acting as a consultant to producers through the pitch and development process. She replaces McLean, who stepped down earlier this year after nine years, though she remains attached to the doc fund that the festival runs with Canwest.
‘Michaelle ran an exceptionally tight ship and delivered an outstanding event for the industry. I intend to keep the TDF up to her very high standards,’ she said.
