• David Kines, one of the driving forces behind MuchMusic, has stepped down as SVP of the Much MTV Group at CTVglobemedia. There are no plans to replace Kines. Much MTV Group SVP and GM Brad Schwartz will continue to oversee the channels.
• Zone3 has put new hire Michael Kronish and its head of production Isabelle Bourduas at the forefront of its push into English-language programming. Kornish (Webdreams) joins the Montreal shop as executive producer, working with Bourduas on new English productions and international copros.
• Lloyd Lewis is now doing double duty at Access and CTV Edmonton, following an appointment as the former’s new VP and GM. Lewis, who already holds the same posts at the network’s Edmonton operations, will lead production on Alberta Primetime, a new daily program scheduled to launch this fall.
• Kevin Shea has joined the board of directors at StreamTheWorld, an Internet media outlet, and will serve as chairman
• Fox/Incendo Television Distribution has tapped Jean Vézina as VP for program sales in French Canada
• Imax has named Julian Stanford as GM of theater development in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Posted in London, the United International Pictures and video gaming veteran will look to increase Imax’s presence in the regions, where 15 new theaters are due to open by 2011.

• Barry Flatman has been named president of the Actors’ Fund of Canada.
