Showtime series Dexter has signed Toronto actress Jane McLean for a recurring role in its third season. McLean, seen recently in Hank and Mike and on Terminal City, will join the cast of the serial-killer drama this week in L.A., though details of her character have not been revealed.

McLean is represented by Perry Zimel of the agency Oscars Abrams Zimel and Associates.

‘I am absolutely thrilled to be working on Dexter,’ said McLean in a statement. ‘I am a huge fan of the series.’

McLean is due to appear next year in The Time Traveler’s Wife — the Toronto-shot Warner Bros. release in which she stars alongside Rachel McAdams, Eric Bana and Ron Livingston.
