• Patrick Roy has been promoted to president and CEO of distrib Alliance Vivafilm, Alliance Films’ successful Quebec arm.

• Decode Enterprises has upped Josh Scherba to VP of distribution, effective immediately. Scherba, who has been with the company for seven years, will continue to lead the sales team for Decode’s distribution catalogue, which includes programming from Decode Entertainment, Halifax Film and Studio B Productions.

• The Score has tapped Tom Hearne as its new CFO, taking over from Patrick Michaud who left in January to start a financial consulting practice. Hearne was CFO at Toronto’s Redline Communications and worked at companies including Open Text and Algorithmics Software. He will report to CEO John Levy.

• Teletoon has promoted Natalie Cunningham to director of marketing while bringing in Russell Ward as the department’s new VP. Ward, who put in seven years at Astral Media’s marketing wing, will oversee all consumer and trade marketing efforts at the cartoon channel and its digital offshoots Teletoon Detour and Teletoon Retro. Cunningham will continue to supervise the Teletoon brands while taking on added responsibilities in research, including the channel’s online advisory panel.

• Andrea Goldstein has been named director of communications for the joint CTV/Rogers Consortium for the 2010 and 2012 Olympic Games, assuming responsibility of all media relations and external communications for coverage of the upcoming Vancouver 2010 and London 2012 Games. She reports to VP of marketing Adam Ashton.

Meanwhile, Greg McIsaac takes over communications for TSN. He was formerly in charge of media relations for CTV news and CHUM Radio.

In other TSN news, the sportscaster has signed former NHL coach John Tortorella and hockey veteran Ray Ferraro to its NHL on TSN broadcast team for the 2008/09 season.

• S-VOX has named its management team for newly rebranded Vancouver station Joy10, putting Terry Mahoney, formerly of the Global affiliate in Kelowna, in as GM. Ken Stewart, veteran of entertainment specials on CTV, is now production manager

• Bruce Hodge has stepped down as a director at Rainmaker Entertainment.
