CTVglobemedia has hired Sgt. Cam Woolley away from the Ontario Provincial Police, and will put the veteran cop on CP24 next week as a traffic and safety specialist.
Woolley, already known to Toronto audiences for his colorful reports on highway safety — most notably during long weekends — will do live and on-location reports from around Toronto for the 24-hour news channel and other CTVgm outlets.
‘It’s hard to believe I’ve found a second career that lets me talk even more than I do right now,’ said Woolley in a statement, noting that there are ‘dozens of commuting stories that break on Toronto’s roads every day.’
Woolley has worked within the CTVgm family before, appearing as an expert on Canada’s Worst Driver on Discovery Channel Canada. He starts at CP24 on Sept. 2 following a final report on the OPP’s road safety blitz for the Labour Day weekend.
