Ed Robertson, frontman for the Barenaked Ladies and high-flying star of the OLN series Ed’s Up, and three others have survived a plane crash in southeastern Ontario.

Robertson’s private plane crashed into the trees near Bancroft, ON on Sunday afternoon, according to Canadian Press.

The flight was not connected to the Ed’s Up series, in which Robertson flies to remote locations around Canada, says executive producer and Peace Point Entertainment president Les Tomlin.

‘The crash was not related to production,’ Tomlin said via e-mail on Monday. ‘We wrapped season three production last month and are in post now for an early ’09 premiere on OLN. Thankfully everyone aboard the plane is fine.’

It is not known if Robertson, who has had a pilot’s licence since 2005, was flying the plane.
